Hearing Aid Audiologist, Owner and Group Director
Oliver joined the family business straight from school in 1995 and remains one of the youngest people to ever qualify as a hearing aid dispenser in 1997. Over the years, Oliver has learned a lot, not just about hearing loss and hearing technology but about the impact hearing loss can have on people, relationships, and quality of life. Oliver is one of the UK’s few Phonak Lyric fitters and is regularly approached by hearing aid manufacturers to take part in focus groups to help mould the future of hearing care. Alongside his work as Director of The Hearing Care Centre, Oliver also enjoys his work influencing thousands of customer's hearing journeys at our sister companies DigiClear and County Hearing. Outside of his working life, he and his wife Fleur have five children who keep them busy and happy!

HAD FSHAA
Debbie joined us in January 2014 and qualified as an audiologist in 2000. She has been working for the independent sector ever since.
Debbie enjoys learning more about the wide variety of hearing instruments available, to find the best solutions for her clients. Debbie is fully trained in earwax removal and microsuction and is also a qualified tinnitus lay counsellor, running our specialist tinnitus clinic.

Toni Started at The Hearing Care Centre back in 2014. Her main role is to welcome you into the practice and provide you with all that you need for your visit.

We're really proud of Toni as she has been studying an Audiology Foundation Degree Apprenticeship at ARU, which she finishes in May 2024. She is currently pre-registration, but can still do all the same work as an audiologist with regular meetings with director, Oliver. Once completed, Toni will be able to support Oliver and Debbie in their excellent standards of customer care.

Outside of work, Toni is a busy mum to three wonderful children. The whole family love to spend time together and take their Labrador, Sammy out on long walks.

Sharon has been working in the hearing care industry for 20+ years, with the last 6 being in Colchester.
Sharons duties include meeting and helping clients in person on arrival and after their appointments, dealing with telephone queries and making appointments. She also deals wth the day-to-day challenges of practice life.

"I deal with a variety of admin and help with the smooth running of the practice."

Outside of work, Sharon enjoys reading, country walks, going to the theatre and generally socialising with family and friends.

After studying business administration, Sianne joined the hearing care centre in 2008 as the practice administrator. Her role has developed over the years, completing an AAT accounting qualification led her to take on the role of bookkeeper and is now also the General Manager.
As well as the finances, She manages the front of house team helping to ensure that our patients experience efficient & effective standards of service.

Away from work, Sianne enjoys spending time with her partner Steve & their young son, socialising with family and friends, as well as reading, trying to keep fit and travelling to new places.

Lucy joined the team back in January 2020. Her role of receptionist involves answering patient enquiries, inviting patients in for routine check-up appointments, cleaning hearing aids, and greeting patients.
"I thoroughly enjoy getting to know patients and making their experience as smooth as can be. I enjoy following our patients' journey from the moment that I help arrange their initial hearing test, through to the fitting of their aids and seeing the difference that this makes to their lives."

Lucy has had previous experience in the NHS and graduated with a first-class degree from Essex University in Psychology. She always knew that she wanted to be in a career that helps people and being at The Hearing Care Centre helps her do just that.

When she isn’t working, Lucy loves looking after her little niece, baking, swimming, and binge-watching reality TV.

Steve joined us in May 2022 as a Hearing Aid Dispenser and is based at our Colchester clinic. Steve joined us with experience in both the private and NHS sector and so brings a wide and varied knowledge of how our industry works and the best way to care for our patients.

Karen manages our Langham practice offering support to the daily audiology clinic and the smooth running of all the administrations services. She brings positive energy, passion and enthusiasm to the team and truly loves her role.

Karen has had a varied career making an impact in the Travel/Recruitment industry before moving into hospitality, where she owned her own restaurant in the beautiful town of Bury St Edmunds. During the early part of the pandemic Karen joined the team at St Elizabeths in Much Hadham where she ticked off a bucket list dream of working for a charity.

Karen has two grown-up children, two grandchildren and a puppy Cockador called Freddie. Returning to the family business of
Digiclear, County and The Hearing Care Centre means she can continue with her passion of helping us deliver the very best care to our growing and loyal customers.
